President Lincoln looks out over the Gettysburg battlefield flanked by an American flag in July, 1863. I did two versions of Abraham Lincoln; one shows President Lincoln reflecting over the terrible cost of life that was lost at Gettysburg and the image I am showing here reflects the hope and optimism of Lincoln. The model I used was an actor who portrayed Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address when the New Gettysburg Museum was opened in November.
