Mary McLeod Bethune was an amazing woman who was ahead of her time. She was an educator and an advisor to presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman. She founded the National Council for Negro Women not to mention many other organizations and worked tirelessly to ensure that young people received a good education. She was a woman of faith and I wanted to portray her determination and hope for a better future.
